7/8” Insulated Glass
Low-E coating reduces solar heat gain. This coating reflects unwanted rays while allowing the maximum visible light to transmit. Coating also prevents furniture fading, and condensation forming on windows. Argon and Krypton Gas fillings properties will maximize heat savings as they help homeowners reduce energy costs while keeping their homes warmer in winter and cooler in the summer. We only offer ENERGY STAR® qualified windows and our products all exceed the minimum energy efficiency criteria for Canadian climate regions.
Sound Reduction
By increasing the thickness of the glass in vinyl windows, as well as changing other optional properties such as gas filling, space between the sheets of glass, or number of sheets noise could be reduced. Outside noise can be reduced by %40 when compared to standard window glass and these units will also provide more insulation.
Tempered
Glass is toughened or tempered by controlled heat treatment process during the manufacturing. Tempering increases the strength of glass compared to normal glass, enabling it to withstand abnormal pressure on its surface. Since the internal stress of tempered glass is balanced, if broken it shatters into small fragments when broken instead of sharp shards which reduces possible severe injuries. Often local building codes require tempered glass to be used in windows that are close to floor or near doors.
Laminated
This type of safety glass consists of panes of glass held in place by an invisible interlayer to keep the layers of glass bonded to create a sturdy glass unit. In case of incidental impact interlayer keeps the layers of glass together while it high strength prevents the glass from breaking into large sharp pieces and spreading. Laminated glass is normally used where human impact or falling of shattered glass is possible. In some region this type of glass is required by building codes to be installed for safety, security, and also to the interlayer gives the glass a much higher sound insulation property and blocks 99% of harmful transmitted UV light.

Hardware
Locks & Latches
Window series that require hardware to be operated come with all required standard hardware to match the basic design of the frame. Keep in mind that we offer optional upgrades to better customize your window to match your desired design, such as folding handles, child safety locks, and other additional heavy duty latches and locks. All the required or additional hardware are available in various colours to match almost any finish.
Weather-strip
Standard for all windows three layers of fin is used around the perimeter of operating windows to maximize sealant against water and air, which also reduces noise. Triple seal close tight where the sash meets the frame and sliding is not required.
